Illumina Coverage Estimator

This estimator is designed to assist researchers in planning and optimizing their sequencing experiments by providing a quantitative assessment of the data required per sample. It integrates key parameters—desired coverage, duplicate rate, target region size (in megabases), and read length—to calculate the necessary amount of sequencing data (in gigabases and number of reads) per sample. The tool then benchmarks these requirements against the yields of various Illumina platforms and cartridge options (including iSeq 100, multiple MiSeq configurations, NextSeq 550, NovaSeq 6000, and NovaSeq X) to estimate the number of samples that can be multiplexed per run. This tool is an estimation and has not been validated.
